Democrats Unveil Most Recent Batch of Jeffrey Epstein Images as Justice Department Cut-off Date Looms
Committee
The House investigative committee has released a batch of roughly 70 photos secured from the holdings of late convicted individual convicted of sex crimes Jeffrey Epstein.
This constitutes the third such disclosure from a larger collection of more than 95,000 images the committee has acquired from Epstein's holdings. It includes images of passages from the novel Lolita written across a female's body, and obscured pictures of female overseas passports.
This action arrives mere hours before the 19 December cut-off for the DOJ to make public all records related to its investigation into Epstein.
"These new photographs bring up more queries about precisely what the DOJ has in its possession," stated the Democratic lead of the panel, Robert Garcia.
Contents in the Images Made Public
Some of the photographs released on Thursday feature Epstein speaking with scholar and advocate Noam Chomsky inside a private plane; Bill Gates seen alongside a individual whose identity is censored; Steve Bannon sitting at a workstation facing Epstein, and former Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a dinner gathering.

These are the latest high-net-worth, powerful figures to be pictured in Epstein's estate photos released by the oversight panel - earlier disclosed photos also include US President Donald Trump and ex-president Bill Clinton, as well as film director Woody Allen, former US Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, lawyer Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and additional individuals.
Being pictured in the photographs is is not considered indication of any misconduct, and several of the featured men have stated they were not participating in Epstein's criminal activity.
In a press release released with the photo disclosure, Lawmakers on the US House Oversight Committee stated the Epstein property holders did not supply context or timeframes for the images.
"Photos were selected to furnish the public with openness into a typical cross-section of the photos acquired from the holdings, and to give perspectives into Epstein's network and his exceptionally disturbing actions," the statement reads.

The publication also features a number of images of quotes from the Vladimir Nabokov novel Lolita inscribed in black ink across several locations of a female's body, such as her upper body, lower extremity, hip, and spine. Lolita recounts the tale of a adolescent who was exploited by a older literature professor.
An example of a passage from the book written across a woman's torso states, "Lo-lee-ta: the tip of the tongue making a journey of three steps down the roof of the mouth to land, at three, on the teeth".
The release also contains a collection of photos of women's identification and identification documents from nations worldwide, including Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.
Investigative Body
A large portion of the information on the papers, like names and DOBs, is redacted but the House Oversight Committee indicated in a statement that the passports pertain to "females whom Jeffrey Epstein and his associates were involved with".
Another photograph shows Epstein seated at a desk closely in the company of three individuals whose faces have been redacted - a first has her palm on Epstein's upper body under his clothing, and a second is leaning to examine a adjacent laptop. Epstein appears to be aiding the third fasten a piece of jewelry.
Investigative Body
An additional photograph disclosed is a screenshot of text messages from an unidentified individual who claims they have been supplied "a number of girls" and are demanding "$$1,000 per female".
Image Disclosure Occurs Before DOJ Due Date
The body has a vast number of photos in its holdings from the Epstein estate, which are "simultaneously graphic and everyday," its statement on this week explained.
The House Oversight Committee first legally compelled the property of Epstein, who passed away in a New York correctional facility in 2019 while awaiting trial on accusations of sex trafficking crimes, in August.
The photographs and documents the Epstein estate's representatives gave to the body are separate from what is commonly referred to "Epstein-related records". Those are records under the Department of Justice's control connected to its separate investigation into Epstein.
Pursuant to the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which the President enacted in November, the DOJ has a deadline of 19 December to release its documents. The full nature of what's contained in the DOJ's documents is unclear, and it's expected that much of the information will be extensively obscured, similar to Congressional materials
