Recent Particulars Come to Light Regarding the Location of the Reiner Couple's Remains

Recent details have emerged concerning the untimely deaths of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and photographer Michele Singer Reiner, whose remains were found at their Los Angeles home residence on Sunday.

A Discovery

As detailed in an account referencing a family associate, a massage therapist scheduled for an appointment initially became concerned after being unable to gain access the home. The practitioner then reached out to the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who lives close by.

Upon entering the residence, Romy found her father's body. Accounts indicate she then left the home distraught, not realizing at that moment that her mother's body was there as well. A companion who had gone with her contacted 911. Subsequently, emergency responders discovered Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Legal Charges

Law enforcement have charged the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with the charges of first-degree murder, including the use of a dangerous weapon, said to be a knife. He is now in custody and denied bail.

Clarifications

The confidential informant also disputed several earlier details. The source indicated that while Romy Reiner informed first responders that her brother Nick resided in a detached unit on the grounds, she did not name him as a potential suspect at that moment.

The source also disputed published suggestions that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been unusually "apprehensive" about Nick's actions in the preceding period. Instead the family was "used to working through [Nick's] problems together."

This refutation applies to descriptions of reportedly "unpredictable" conduct by Nick at a gathering hosted by Conan O'Brien the evening prior to the discovery. While the source said they were unable to confirm whether Rob had "rebuked" his son at the party, they said that suggestions of a "major confrontation" between the two were inaccurate.

Ongoing Inquiry Details

Per law enforcement officials, the coroner had not yet established as of Tuesday whether the Reiners died late on Saturday or on Sunday. Preliminary accounts noted the condition of their bodies implied they had been deceased for a period of time.

Nick Reiner was taken into custody at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the Exposition Park, about 15 miles from the scene. He was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, but his attorney, Alan Jackson, said his client had not been medically cleared and would not appear until no sooner than Wednesday.
