This return of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited widespread enthusiasm within the community. From the one-by-one reveal of newcomers before the title's release, to players developing firm views on the full roster of new Megas, there's plenty for fans to look forward to.

Given many of the Mega Evolutions boasting distinctive appearances that highlight their traits, one thought naturally: How can connect this with astrology? This list is based on a mix of vibes, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.

Aries – Super Camerupt

Honestly, Houndoom was almost chosen for Aries, as they are the Mega Pokémon and astrological sign that inspire the most fear. But, a Super Houndoom comes across as constantly furious, which doesn't match the Ram's energy, known for being playful, light-hearted, and spontaneous. This makes Aries far more akin to Mega Camerupt, which solely spews lava when angered. Remain on the good side of both and enjoy a strong partner; if you cross them, prepare to face the consequences.

The zodiac symbol famous for being charmingly judgmental is strongly mirrored across this creature's entire lineage, from a always surprised face like a Maiden when you tell them you don’t have a retirement plan, to its inverted visage that’s similar to the emoji a Maiden posts to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “be spontaneous” rather than creating a plan.

The Scales – Super Audino

Look at this gentle, empathetic creature, who uses the feelers on its auditory organs to detect how others are feeling by their pulse. Consistently compassionate – occasionally to a fault – and trying to keep the harmony, there are many Libras who would probably benefit from Mega Audino’s skills. However, to be frank, it would likely just make them worry even more about everyone else.

The Scorpion – Super Banette

Banette is a Pokémon with a surprisingly tragic backstory: Abandoned as a doll, it became sentient through sheer resentment and swore revenge on its previous caretaker. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution, “increases its spitefulness.” That sounds exactly like several conversations I’ve had with my intense Scorpio acquaintances. A Scorpio adores karma and comeuppance, making them the perfect match with Mega Banette.

Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha

Each Super Hawlucha and Sagittarians are constantly putting on a performance. Being a Archer personally, the number of times I’ve called myself some version of a “playful small jester” is innumerable. The showiest and most attention-seeking Mega Evolution, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “flexes to display its strength.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Super Form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Archer counterpart I can think of.

Capricorn – Mega Absol
