The Perfect Pocket Monster Legends: Z-A Super Form According to Your Zodiac Sign
This return of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited widespread enthusiasm within the community. From the one-by-one reveal of newcomers before the title's release, to players developing firm views on the full roster of new Megas, there's plenty for fans to look forward to.
Given many of the Mega Evolutions boasting distinctive appearances that highlight their traits, one thought naturally: How can connect this with astrology? This list is based on a mix of vibes, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.
Aries – Super Camerupt
Honestly, Houndoom was almost chosen for Aries, as they are the Mega Pokémon and astrological sign that inspire the most fear. But, a Super Houndoom comes across as constantly furious, which doesn't match the Ram's energy, known for being playful, light-hearted, and spontaneous. This makes Aries far more akin to Mega Camerupt, which solely spews lava when angered. Remain on the good side of both and enjoy a strong partner; if you cross them, prepare to face the consequences.
The Bull – Mega Heracross
Much like a loyal Taurus, the steadfast Heracross, both in its regular and Super Form, has aided numerous players in Legends: Z-A. While trustworthy, each the creature and a Bull are also Fighting types, and – whether it's their companion or a strong opinion – will stand up for their side unwaveringly. What about Super Heracross that recalls most of my Bull-sign companions, though, is its unashamed love of treats. Many previous Pokédex entries note their fondness for sweet tree sap and how it employs its horn to hoard it everything, which is pure Bull-sign vibe.
Gemini – Mega Medicham
Observe this absolute queen. You cannot tell me this creature is not the life of every party, providing an endless stream of chatter to those who wish to hear. Just like an enrapturing, sociable Gemini, it's very simple to envision Mega Medicham mesmerizing an whole Wild Zone with their tales. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also states its ability to predict an opponent's next moves, which sounds quite like a people-smart Twins.
Cancer – Mega Manectric
The Crab is commonly regarded as the most emotional sign of the zodiac, a intense sign known for frequently becoming wrapped up in their emotions. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution fills the Pokémon with a “huge amount of energy, but it's too much for this Pokémon to fully control,” which seems a lot like a typical Cancer emotional outburst. This Pokémon is also known for its capability to make a thundercloud over its own self – and if there’s a single trait a Crab is going to do, it’s spoil their own parade.
The Lion – Super Starmie
Well, did you think I was planning to pick the lion Pokémon for the king of the stars? Besides the fact that it would be much too obvious, The Lion is obviously Super Starmie, the star whose legs just went viral for being extremely fabulous (or horrifying, depending on your preference). Players couldn’t look away from the purple starfish, and that’s precisely the same energy a Leo offers to the table. This Pokémon is also rumored to be broadcasting radio waves from its center out into space, and it’s typical of a Lion to be staging a show, albeit for aliens.
The Maiden – Super Victreebel
The always-ready and constantly-worried Maiden is perfectly encapsulated in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with constant acid reflux. The zodiac symbol famous for being charmingly judgmental is strongly mirrored across this creature's entire lineage, from a always surprised face like a Maiden when you tell them you don’t have a retirement plan, to its inverted visage that’s similar to the emoji a Maiden posts to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “be spontaneous” rather than creating a plan.
The Scales – Super Audino
Look at this gentle, empathetic creature, who uses the feelers on its auditory organs to detect how others are feeling by their pulse. Consistently compassionate – occasionally to a fault – and trying to keep the harmony, there are many Libras who would probably benefit from Mega Audino’s skills. However, to be frank, it would likely just make them worry even more about everyone else.
The Scorpion – Super Banette
Banette is a Pokémon with a surprisingly tragic backstory: Abandoned as a doll, it became sentient through sheer resentment and swore revenge on its previous caretaker. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution, “increases its spitefulness.” That sounds exactly like several conversations I’ve had with my intense Scorpio acquaintances. A Scorpio adores karma and comeuppance, making them the perfect match with Mega Banette.
Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha
Each Super Hawlucha and Sagittarians are constantly putting on a performance. Being a Archer personally, the number of times I’ve called myself some version of a “playful small jester” is innumerable. The showiest and most attention-seeking Mega Evolution, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “flexes to display its strength.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Super Form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Archer counterpart I can think of.
Capricorn – Mega Absol
Were you aware that a Super Absol has the power to foresee disasters ahead of time? That gives the identical vibe as a Goat, who tends to always believe they’re right. Interestingly, much like a prophetic Super Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute initial Mega Evolution that trainers encounter in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Capricorn to get in on the ground floor of the Super Form craze.
The Water Bearer – Super Chandelure
Detached air sign Water Bearer is arguably the non-flame sign that is most like a flame symbol – its sister sign is the Lion, and there are countless memes about the Archer and Aquarius being unpredictable partners in crime. Mega Chandelure’s dual Ghost/Fire category matches seamlessly with this, and the Super Form's general intimidating presence is also extremely Water Bearer. If you hadn't yet convinced, the Mega’s description says it “absorbs hatred and transforms it into power.” If that fails to exactly {encaps
